It has been reported that Barcelona are preparing a €22m bid for Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic, but what does the player want?

The Daily Star have reported that Vidic’s wife is unhappy in Manchester and she would like to move to a warmer country. Barcelona can bid what they want, if the player doesn't want to leave and the club doesn't want him to leave then it doesn't matter.

Vidic's agent Paolo Fabbri told setanta.com: "I don’t think we will have any surprises in the short term. We are not planning to move."
"Barcelona and many other teams can be interested in Vidic - that is another story. Three or four Italian teams would be pleased to have the player. But he is under contract. His deal has been already extended until 2012."

I don't think this story will go anywhere, Vidic wants to stay. Man United want Vidic and in my opinion he will be wearing a Manchester United shirt next season.
