Real Madrid's director has spoken out and he has revealed that Man United and Real Madrid are currently in negotiations over the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo.

When asked about Ronaldo in an interview with TVE, Jorge Valdano said:
"I can only talk about players who are on their way here, not about those we are in negotiations over. He is a great professional, he dedicates a very great deal of time to his work. He is a great footballer and a very good professional,"
"According to the information we have managed to obtain, he is an excellent professional. You don't get the player's body he has, which is a footballing advertisement, without working a great deal."
"Another thing is that his reputation as an officially good-looking guy, and a social or advertising model, blurs his image a bit. He is a great footballer."

The Spanish press are reporting that Real Madrid are really close to signing Ronaldo for a fee of €96m (£82m). Marca (who are incredibly biased and very unreliable). They put a picture of Ronaldo in last season's white kit which the headline as- “CR7 Will Play In Madrid”.

Another Spanish paper La Razon has included some details which they believe will be in Ronaldo's contract. They say Ronaldo will sign a six year deal with an annual salary of €9.5 million net.
Ronaldo will give up 40% of his image rights to Real Madrid and his agent will receive 10% of the transfer fee.

There have been some rumours that say Real Madrid have sent out a doctor to LA, where Ronaldo are currently on holiday to carry out a medical.
