Zenit Star Dreams Of United

Sports - December 05, 2007

It has been revealed by Tottenham Hotspur player Roman Pavlyuchenko that Zenit St Petersburg player Pavel Pogrebnyak dreams of playing for Manchester United.
Pavlyuchenko joined Tottenham from Zenit in the summer transfer window so he would know all about his former team-mate.

Pogrebnyak's contract with Zenit runs out this November so he could either be sold to Man United (if they want him) on the cheap or United could wait until he is a free agent.

Pavlyuchenko told Russian newspaper Sport Express: "Pogrebnyak. He dreams about Manchester United and would kick everyone to wear the red shirt!"

It is thought that Arsenal, Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers are interested in signing the player.

I haven't really seen much of this player but I did watch him score against us in the Super Cup at the beginning of last season.
If he did join us, he probably would be one of those players who make an impact off the bench, and if he does love Man United, I'm sure he wouldn't mind doing that.
