Fergie Can Carry On Spending

Champions League: Manchester United Training

Man United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been told that he can carry on spending. After Michael Owen joined Manchester United on a free, some Man United fans started to worry that the Glazers banked the £80million and Fergie won't be able to buy players.

The glazers have released a statement to try and put those fans at rest but I am sure that most Man United fans already believed that Fergie will be able to spend most of that money.

A spokesman for the Glazer family said: "When it comes to transfer policy at Manchester United, the situation is the same now as it has been since the owners came to the club.
"Sir Alex Ferguson identifies which players he wants at the club and he is then given 100 per cent backing in the transfer market.
"Any suggestion that Ronaldo was sold by the owners, or that he was sold to help with debt levels, is wrong."
