Manchester United are currently in Munich preparing for the Audi Cup (which starts tomorrow) and Man United midfielder Darron Gibson believes that the opposition will be a lot tougher.

Whilst out in Asia Man United played a Malaysia XI twice, FC Seoul and Hangzhou Greentown. Man United will be facing Boca Juniors on Wednesday, the next day United will play either AC Milan or Bayern Munich.

"United are a massive club and we have fans all over the world," Gibson told MUTV
"It's always good to give them something back.

"When we got to our hotel in Hangzhou [China] we got an unbelievable reaction – some of the lads had their video cameras out, filming the fans.

"The tour was good and I managed to get a few games in. It helped with getting your fitness and sharpness back. But the real test will come in Germany."

Gibson has recently signed another contract with Man United and he wants to break into the first team.

"I was really happy to sign for another three years and hopefully I can push on from last year and do well. From both the players' and the manager's point of view, it’s always nice to have competition for places – it’s healthy".
"This season I’m looking to try and kick on and get a few more appearances."
