Man United To Swoop For Ace

Sports News - February 19, 2009

Manchester United are ready to offer around €35 million for Inter Milan's Zlatan Ibrahimovic. After missing out on Karim Benzema, Man United are now after Ibrahimovic.

All this is coming from the Daily Mirror so I wouldn't be jumping up and down with joy quite yet, especially considering Inter Milan director Lele Oriali claimed on Tuesday that the player will be staying with the club.

Tomorrow Inter Milan start pre-season and their coach coach Jose Mourinho has suggested that once pre-season starts no players will be leaving the club. So, if we want him, we will have to get him pretty quick.

Do we want him? I would have preferred Benzema but that isn't going to happen. We have got Owen, Rooney, Berbatov, Welbeck, Campbell (possibly) and other younger strikers who can play for us, do we really need another one?

Zlatan can't handle the premiership, not physical enough.

  2. We need a big name. I hope SAF kops the Swede. Very hopeful for Obertan but we need a seasoned player like Zlatan to help us net a 4th title in a row.

Hi Ulrik Fredrik, thanks for your comment. We do need a big name but I don't think that Fergie will buy a big name.

We do have Owen but I can't see him playing week in week out.

Hi Brian, thanks for your comment. He might not be able to handle the Premier League.
He really didn't impress at all when he played United last season in the Champion's League.
