Community Shield Preview

Wembley Plays Host To The Chelsea vs Manchester United FA Cup Final

On Sunday Premier League Champion's Manchester United take on FA Cup winners Chelsea at Wembley, for the right to lift the Community Shield. This is a very tough match to predict but what I am going to predict is not many goals.

Both teams probably won't put out their strongest line-ups. The main thing that I will be looking at is how Man United look against our toughest opposition that we have played since loosing Cristiano Ronaldo.
I will mainly be looking at how Man United line-up, will Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen both start? What kind of formation will we play?

This will be the first time that Sir Alex Ferguson and Carlo Ancelotti go head-to-head since AC Milan knocked Man United out of the 2006-07 Champion's League.

This will be the first time that Chelsea play one of the other 'top four' since appointing new manager Ancelotti.

Both teams have some injury problems, Man United have a few more than Chelsea.
Man United are definitely without Owen Hargreaves, Gabriel Obertan, Gary Neville, Wes Brown, Nemanja Vidic and Edwin Van Der Sar.

Chelsea will be without midfielder Joe Cole since he is still suffering with a knee injury, better news for them though is that Michael Ballack could be passed fit. New midfielder Yuri Zhirkov is also a doubt for tomorrow.

Chelsea: Cech, Hilario, Turnbull, Belletti, Alex, Terry, Carvalho, Mancienne, Bosingwa, A Cole, Ballack, Sturridge, Mikel, Deco, Lampard, Anelka, Drogba, Ivanovic, Kalou, Ferreira, Malouda.
Man United: Foster, Kuszczak, O'Shea, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Valencia, Fletcher, Carrick, Scholes, Anderson, Gibson, Nani, Giggs, Rooney, Owen, Berbatov, Macheda, Tosic, Fabio, Cleverley, De Laet.

I hope that it will be a good match but when these two teams face each other we rarely get a game with loads of goals in it. I think both teams will cancel each other out.

I am predicting a 1-0 Man United win in 90 minutes, what do you predict?
