Man United Reserves 3-1 Bolton Reseves

MANCHESTER UNITED V VALENCIA CF
Last night Man United’s reserves took on Bolton's reserves at the County ground in the Barclay’s Premier League Reserve League. The game was the first of the new season and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side made a great start to the season.
Solskjaer did have a few first team players to strengthen the side- Wes Brown, Danny Welbeck and Darron Gibson all played a part in the match.
United were 1-0 up in the first three minutes, Zoran Tosic’s corner was headed in by Craig Cathcart. United weren’t ahead for that long, seven minutes after Sam Sheridan put through Bolton’s Michael O’Halloran on goal and he equalised.
Welbeck and Josh King were always a threat upfront and it only looked like a matter of time until Man United got their second. Just before half time, King set up Tosic and United were ahead going into the break.
Throughout the second half, Man United were looking for the third goal. Most of the possession was in the Bolton half and 83 minutes in Sam Hewson bagged himself a goal.
Cameron Stewart was brought on as a second half substitution along with Hewson and Magnus Eikrem. Stewart brought out a great save of the Bolton keeper, he also kept out King and Welbeck but Hewson was there to put the ball past the keeper.
That was a comfortable win for the reserves and hopefully the start of a really successful Premier League season
