Man United defender Nemanja Vidic is ready to take on the German Champion’s Wolfsburg tomorrow evening in the Champion’s League group stage. Both teams are expected to finish 1st and 2nd in the group, but who will be top?
Wolfsburg are new to the Champion’s League and tomorrow’s game at Old Trafford will be their first away game in the competition. It will be a tight game, the German Champion’s beat CSKA Moscow at home 4-1 whilst United beat Besiktas 1-0 away.
Vidic said: "They’re the German champions and they have quality players, particularly up front," he told ManUtd.com. "It'll be a hard game and I think we’ll be the two teams fighting for top spot in the group.
"When you don’t know teams or players that well you don’t always know what to expect in games. But that’s why we have people at the club, who show us the videos before the game so we can work out exactly how they play.
"It’s a very important part of our preparation – we need to know what to expect from the players we’ll be up against because it’s the small details that can make the difference."
"Everyone wants to play well against Manchester United and try to beat us. It’s the biggest stage to play on and other teams want to show what they can," he added.
"It’s nothing new for us – we experience it week in, week out so we’re used to it. We just have to concentrate on ourselves, work hard in training and keep improving."
