Man United defender Patrice Evra has said that beating Chelsea away is more important than beating Liverpool. Chelsea beat Liverpool 2-0 at Stamford Bridge last weekend and United have matches coming up against both teams.

United play Liverpool at Anfield on the 25th October, two weeks later United travel down to London to play Chelsea.

Evra said:

"Chelsea away is the game I always want to win more than any other.

"If we win there it sends out a message to all the top four.

"There are other important games, such as we need to do well against Liverpool after losing 4-1 at home to them last season.

"But if you ask me to choose one game, I'll pick Chelsea away."

There may be a bigger rivalry between United and Liverpool but I believe that Evra is right. Chelsea are going to be our main rivals for the title this season and taking three points off them would be more important that Liverpool.
