Premier League Preview: Manchester United vs Blackburn Rovers

After beating Barnsley 2-0 on Tuesday, Man United carries on with they’re Premier League duty against Blackburn Rovers at Old Trafford. Blackburn has been one of the main football clubs who have been suffering with Swine Flu (obviously not the club themselves but the players).

Premier League: United Go Seven Points ClearMan United have a bit of a defensive crisis- Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic are both doubts for tomorrow. Fabio da Silva played in central defence midweek, so if they are both out he may be partnered with Jonny Evans. Gary Neville is suspended for tomorrow and Ryan Giggs is also an injury doubt.

United will definitely be without midfielders Darren Fletcher, Ji-Sung Park and Danny Welbeck. Coleen Rooney has still not given birth to Wayne Rooney’s first child, if she does go into labour today or tomorrow, United will be without the striker.

Bolton have problems of they’re own and that is mainly down to swine flu. Jason Roberts has been the latest victim of the flu. Defender Chris Samba is doubtful but Pascal Chimbonda has recovered from a calf strain and should start.

United will want to get back on track after that horrible 2-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield last Sunday. Rovers played Chelsea last weekend at Stamford Bridge and they suffered a 5-0 defeat, I don’t think it will be like that tomorrow.

We don’t really know what Man United we will see, sometimes there is fantastic football and great or comfortable wins. Or we could see the side who played Liverpool and Barnsley- not very confident and easily turned over.

Blackburn are down in 16th in the table, two points above the relegation zone but they will prove to be tough to break down. I don’t think they will come out and attack us, they will sit back, put 10-men on the ball and then counter attack. Rovers are a tough side but I don’t think we will lose two Premier League games in a row.

Predicted starting XI- Van der Sar, O'Shea, Evans, Fabio, Evra, Nani, Anderson, Carrick, Valencia, Berbatov and Rooney.

Predicted scoreline- Manchester United 2-0 Blackburn Rovers
