Man United Lose Vidic To Injury

uring yesterday’s game against Wolves, Man United defender Nemanja Vidic had to be substituted due to a calf strain. Wes Brown also wasn’t in the team after he suffered another injury. That now means that there are eight defenders out injured again.

Ritchie De Laet is expected to start the game this weekend against Fulham alongside midfielder Michael Carrick in the heart of Man United’s defence. Midfielder Darren Fletcher is expected to start at right-back and Patrice Evra should be in his normal left-back position. I don’t know what we would have done if we didn’t have Carrick or Fletcher, it would have been a bigger disaster than it is already.

Man United are now sitting at the top of the injury table with 10 players out injured.

United are without- Rafael da Silva (defender), Wes Brown (defender), Gary Neville (defender), Edwin Van Der Sar (goalkeeper), Fabio da Silva (defender), John O’Shea (defender), Jonny Evans (defender), Rio Ferdinand (defender), Nemanja Vidic (defender) and Owen Hargreaves (midfielder). So out of the 10 injuries we have, eight of them are defenders.

This is now getting beyond ridiculous.

Man United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been quoted as saying: "Ritchie showed some promise and he will probably be there on Saturday”

"We just have to get on with it."
