Birmingham vs Man United

NOTTS FOREST V BIRMINGHAM

As I write this, the Premier League game between Birmingham and Man United is still going ahead, only one of two Premier League games, which hasn’t fallen foul of the weather.

Man United were expecting to make up for their awful defeat to Leeds in the FA Cup against Manchester City midweek. Unfortunately that game was postponed due to bad weather so United will have to make up for it today.

Birmingham are one of the in form teams right now so it might not be the best time to play them, especially in the form we are in. Saying that, United normally pick up pace after Christmas and this is when we usually are at our best.

Man United have never lost to Birmingham in the Premier League but the Blues are unbeaten in 11 Premier League matches so they will not be pushovers.

Birmingham will be without Lee Carsley, David Murphy, Garry O’Connor, Teemu Tainio, Stuart Parnaby and Gregory Vignal.

Man United are without Rio Ferdinand, John O’Shea, Edwin Van Der Sar, Owen Hargreaves and Nemanja Vidic. One of the shortest injury lists Man United have had in a long time.

Predicted Man United starting XI- Tomasz Kuszczak, Rafael Da Silva, Wes Brown, Jonny Evans, Patrice Evra, Antonio Valencia, Michael Carrick, Darren Fletcher, Ji-Sung Park, Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov.

Predicted scoreline- Birmingham 1-2 Man United
