The Football Association (FA) has charged Man United defender Rio Ferdinand with violent conduct. This charge follows an off-the-ball incident with Hull City’s Craig Fagan.
Ferdinand now has until 6pm on Wednesday 27th January to respond to the charge. A Regulatory Commission will hear the charge the following day- Thursday 28th January.
If this charge is upheld it means Man United could be without Ferdinand for the games against Arsenal, Portsmouth and Aston Villa.
It’s not really a surprise, Ferdinand threw a punch and with all the camera’s around now, it’s bound to be picked up. If he is charged then he will be a massive miss, especially for the Arsenal match.
