Wage Demands To End Rooney's Man United Career?

MANCHESTER UNITED V VALENCIA CF
Wayne Rooney in the papers yet again today, this time it is believed that his wage demands are far too high for Man United. Over recent days it has been speculated that Man United may be forced to sell the striker because of mounting debt. Today The Sun believe that Rooney will ask to be paid £140,000 a week, which United can’t afford, that it turn will spell the end of his Old Trafford career.

Rooney still has two years left on his contract with Man United, he is currently being paid £90,000 a week but he want £140,000 a week. Now I know that he now has an extra mouth to feed but I am sure that he could just about live on £90,000 a week.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are expected to bid £70 million for Rooney during the summer. If Man United are still in financial trouble, who says an offer won’t be accepted?

I don’t know how true this story is but Rooney has recently said that he would like to finish his career at Man United so why put that in jeopardy? I get the impression that this story has probably been blown over the top. Maybe Man United and Rooney want to wait until the end of the season or after the World Cup until they start talking contracts?
