O'Shea To Barcelona, Vidic Staying?

Soccer: Training - Manchester United May 20
It is believed that the current European Champions Barcelona are interested in bringing Man United defender John O’Shea to the Nou Camp.

Barcelona are reportedly looking for a defender who can play anywhere in the back four, which is what O’Shea can do. O’Shea has played in every position for Man United, he has even played a few minutes as a goalkeeper when Edwin Van Der Sar had to be taken off with a broken nose against Tottenham Hotspur in 2007. United had used all three substitutes and he didn’t do badly.

In other news, Nemanja Vidic has said that he will see out his contract at Man United. Vidic has been linked with a move away to clubs such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, AC Milan and even Manchester City but he won’t leave this summer.

"I will repeat for the 100th time: my contract with Manchester is until the summer of 2012 and I want to stay in Old Trafford until the last day," Vidic said to Belgrade daily Vecernje Novosti.
"Only this is true, everything else is a baseless story."

Vidic also insisted that no other clubs have contacted him regarding a move.

"No, no, no, I have made a career in Manchester and I respect that fully"
"No-one has contacted me and I have not spoken to anyone."

Vidic also went on to talk about his absence in the team, due to injury.

"First I had troubles with a calf muscle, but I started with training too early and felt strong pain in the back of a calf," he explained.
"I am healthy (now). I feel strong and I believe I can return in full."

Good news about Vidic, but still somehow not convinced.

Be a shame if we lost O'Shea, but Barca wow. Don't get me wrong but I'm just surprised
