Reports in Portugal are suggesting that Benfica have rejected an offer from Man United to sign Angel di Maria. It is believed by Portuguese radio station TSF that Man United offered Benfica €10 million plus Luis Nani for the 21-year old.

Portuguese reports suggest that Benfica don’t want to lose one of their star players halfway through the season but they may accept an offer during the season.

Di Maria has been linked with a move to Man United or Manchester City. Nani hasn’t featured that much this season and hasn’t impressed since joining Man United in the summer of 2007. I don’t think it will be a surprise to anyone if Nani does leave in the January transfer window.
