According to The Sun newspaper Manchester United will replace Sir Alex Ferguson with a young manager, now that isn't really a surprise to me but how young is young?

It looks like managers like Marcello Lippi and Ottmar Hitzfeld won't be in the frame for the new job but will United be looking for young inexperienced managers such as Roy Keane or youngish managers with experience at big clubs such as Jose Mourinho?

Names that have been linked with the job are:
Roy Keane, Steve Bruce, Jose Mourinho, Martin O'Neill, Ottmar Hitzfeld, Eric Cantona, Marcello Lippi, even Ryan Giggs' name has been mentioned.


Some are predictable such as former Man United players and others aren't but whatever happens I think Fergie will have some input into who replaces him and Man United will make the right decision.
