Just a quick warning for all of the kids and parents out there. There is a sick paedo who is posing as a Manchester United scout, offering to drive youngsters to Old Trafford.

The cops are hunting a grey-haired man in his 60s who swoops after watching schoolboy football matches.

The pervert has a tear-drop tattoo on his face and he approached children after an under-12s training session on the outskirts of Manchester. The perv was challenged by parents but he claimed that he was a Man United scout and gave them a false phone number.

Cheshire County FA official Andy Ridgway said: “He was extremely convincing.
“He told the kids he had presumably selected that he would pick them up and take them to Old Trafford — a dream for any kid. They must have been heartbroken when they realised this guy was nothing like what he said he was.”

Earlier this month a genuine United scout saw the suspect in the Poulton-le-Fylde area of Lancashire where kids were playing matches.
Andy added: “Everyone with children playing football needs to be aware of this.”

Man United bosses are said to be “very unhappy and disturbed” the club’s name had been used falsely.
A United spokesman said: “This man has nothing to do with us.”
