Peterborough's manager and Fergie's son was on his way down to London when he told that his children, 10 year old Charlie and six year old Grace had been involved in a crash along with his ex wife and mother of his children. Charlie was described as "serious but stable" and Grace had suffered minor injuries.
Sir Alex was shaken up and torn, he didn't know whether to go back upto Cheshire to be alongside his grandchildren or carry on with his duties at Manchester United. Obviously he stayed with Man United and got us through to the semi-finals but Darren Ferguson kept him upto date with everything that was going on.
My thoughts go out to the family and I hope everyone gets better soon.
