Former player David Beckham has been linked with an ambassadorial role with Man United once his playing career is over.

This morning British tabloid The Sun has claimed that Man United's owners the Glazers want to bring Beckham back to the club to try and raise the clubs profile.

The paper quotes a United source, who says: "It's something that has only been whispered at this stage but Beckham will always be part of the United family.

"There are emerging markets all the time and there could come a time in the very near future when Becks' association with United would be renewed. "The club has lost Cristiano Ronaldo as a key marketing tool and Becks would help fill that void when he retires." Beckham is still popular with the Man United fans, he is a fan and he still loves the club. I think it would be a great move both for Man United and for Beckham.
