Man United Deny Stealing Youngster

Man United have denied stealing teenage midfielder Paul Pogba from French club Le Havre. Man United have been accused of offering very large amounts of money to the youngster's parents, to get the player to end a contract which he has with Le Havre until the end of this season.

A statement (under the heading of 'Manchester United steal Paul Pogba from HAC (La Havre') on the official Le Havre website said:
"Le Havre wishes to express its indignation regarding the dealings of Manchester United's directors in relation to the young Paul Pogba.
"The player and his parents refused to keep the arrangement because Manchester United offered very high sums of money to the parents of the (player) with the aim of obtaining the transfer of their son.
"At a time when numerous parties - including at European Union level, governmental (level), or within Fifa or Uefa - are speaking out against the 'trading of minors,' Manchester United does not hesitate to uproot a 16-year-old kid."

Man United's response came through a spokesman who spoke to BBC Sport said:
"It is complete nonsense. Everything has been done within Uefa guidelines."

Pogba is one of France's upcoming young talents and it is understandable that the club is unhappy but you cannot claim things like that, especially if it is untrue. I haven't seen any proof that Man United offered any money to the player/parents so you cannot go around saying stuff like that.

If there is proof that Man United did this then that is wrong but unless I see anything then I won't believe it.
