Man United vs Arsenal, Match Preview

Football - Manchester United v Arsenal Barclays Premier League
Today two of England’s top teams go head-to-head at Old Trafford. This evening Arsenal travel up from London to play Man United in the first game this season between the ‘big four’ teams.

It has been confirmed that defender Jonny Evans will need surgery but since Rio Ferdinand is still out injured, Evans will play through the pain today.
Wes Brown is fit to play for Man United after coming through a reserve match during the week.

Arsenal’s Cesc Fabregas has been ruled out but Arsene Wenger is set to recall Andrey Arshavin and Robin Van Persie to the starting line-up. Aaron Ramsey is a doubt for today’s game.

Arsenal have got off to a great start this season and Man United had a great last game against Wigan so we could be in for a great game. I am sure that there will be twists and turns during the match so we could have a few goals.
Arsenal’s defence isn’t the strongest so that could be their weakness, there is no doubting that they can score goals, can we score more?

It will be interesting to see who Sir Alex Ferguson chooses to start upfront- Rooney and Berbatov, Rooney and Owen or even Berbatov and Owen?
I expect it will probably be Berbatov and Rooney.

Will Anderson play in midfield? During the week we have had stories of a massive bust-up between Anderson and Fergie but they were quashed.

I am looking forward to this game; it will be interesting I am just hoping that we have something that can topple Arsenal. They have got off to a great start but after a 5-0 thrashing of Wigan, that will have given us confidence and we can now go on and build on that.

My prediction: Man United 3-2 Arsenal
