The transfer window may not open until January but Man United are already being linked again to Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano. The People are claiming that Man United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is a massive fan of the 28-year-old and is ready to bid for him in the January transfer window.

I am not sure about this one, mainly because of his age. Man United have said that they will only be buying younger players and he may be young in real life, he is older in the football world.

I think he could be a great addition to the squad but would he really be a main striker? I think Fergie would back Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov to start most games upfront. Would Fabiano be happy as a squad player? I’m not sure that he would.

A source who is supposed to be close to Fabiano (which probably means it is made up says: “Luis Fabiano was unhappy with the failure of his move to AC Milan, and he has decided not to speak about his future until there is a concrete offer. He is concentrating on doing well with Sevilla, but it pleases him that big clubs are interested in him.”
