After Man United’s 2-1 win over Arsenal a few weeks back, Arsene Wenger claimed that Man United’s Darren Fletcher “committed 20 fouls without being booked”. Man United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has defended Fletcher.
The last thing Fletcher is, is a dirty player and I think Wenger’s comments were totally out of order.
Sir Alex Ferguson told SkySportsNews: "Darren Fletcher, as we know, is one of the most honest and fairest players in the game.
"He does it fairly. For some, maybe, that's probably annoyed them. That's his job. That's what he's good at. He's good at pressing the ball. His energy is incredible."
