Tomorrow Man United take on Bolton Wanderers at Old Trafford two weeks after the 2-2 draw with Sunderland.
Wayne Rooney will miss the match after suffering a calf strain against Ukraine for England. The good news is that Edwin Van Der Sar will return in goal, that will hopefully give United’s defence some confidence.
Rio Ferdinand may not have had the best few matches for United but he should start alongside Nemanja Vidic. I wouldn’t have expected Sir Alex Ferguson to drop him but Jonny Evans is doubtful with an ankle injury.
United will be missing Rooney upfront but we may also be without Dimitar Berbatov who became a father during the week. Saying that, he did score a hatrick for Bulgaria after the birth of his first child.
Bolton only has one new injury concern ahead of their trip to the theatre of dreams. Sam Ricketts pulled out of the Wales squad with an ankle injury, he may not have recovered in time.
Referee Mark Clattenburg will have a tough game tomorrow after Fergie’s comments after the Sunderland match. Many will be watching to see how he performs, is he fit enough?
Fergie will have to be careful as well, any wrong comments after the game could put him in even more trouble.
Bolton hasn’t won at Old Trafford since 2002 and I don’t think that is going to change tomorrow. United will be wanting to put the 2-2 draw and terrible performance against Sunderland behind them.
My predicted Man United line-up: Edwin Van Der Sar, Patrice Evra, Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, John O’Shea, Antonio Valencia, Michael Carrick, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Michael Owen and Federico Macheda.
Predicted score line: Man United 2-0 Bolton
