Gabriel Obertan Says Thanks

Gabriel Obertan joined Man United during the summer. Immediately after he signed, it was announced that he had picked up an injury. Obertan has recently made his first team debut but he has been really impressive whilst playing for United’s reserves.

The 20-year old made his debut for the first team during United’s 2-0 win over Barnsley in the Carling Cup. Since then he has played in United’s 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers in the Premier League and more recently United’s 3-3 draw against CSKA Moscow at Old Trafford.

When Obertan came on, the fans sung his name, which will obviously give him a lot of confidence. He has now vowed to repay the fans.

"I'm very proud of that [the fans singing his name]," he said during an exclusive interview with ManUtd.com. "It gives you a huge push when you are playing and you hear the supporters singing your name. It’s like you have other forces behind you.”

"It’s also made me feel very welcome here. If I hear the fans singing my name I want to give them something back by playing well and working hard for them."
