Premier League Preview: West Ham vs Man United

Football - West Ham United v Manchester City Barclays Premier League

Tomorrow Man United have a 15:00 GMT kick off against West Ham in the Premier League. Over recent seasons Man United haven’t had the best of times at Upton Park, nothing else that a win will be acceptable tomorrow.

The Hammers have had some disappointing injury news ahead of the game. Striker Carlton Cole will be out of action until the New Year. The London side will also be without Valon Behrami.

Kieron Dyer played 75 minutes for the reserve team during the week so he should be able to play a part. Matthew Upson may also return after West Ham hope he has recovered from injury.

Man United have been struggling defensively, there is some good news goalkeeping wise. Edwin Van Der Sar is expected to return to the starting line-up after recovering from a knee injury. Owen Hargreaves, Jonny Evans, Rio Ferdinand, John O’Shea and Fabio da Silva are all out.

West Ham’s last game was a 5-3 win over Burnley at Upton Park. They may be able to score goals but they are also capable of letting in quite a few.

Man United’s youngsters (and some experience but in defence we had no choice but to play Nemanja Vidic and Wes Brown) had a great 2-0 win over Tottenham in the Carling Cup.

Predicted Man United team: Edwin Van Der Sar, Gary Neville, Nemanja Vidic, Wes Brown, John O’Shea, Antonio Valencia, Darren Fletcher, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov.

Predicted scoreline: West Ham 2-3 Man United
