Tomorrow afternoon Man United play what Sir Alex Ferguson says is the biggest match of the season for United. Man United travel down to London to play Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Man United have already beaten Arsenal this season, United played Arsenal on the and we beat them 2-1 with goals from Wayne Rooney (penalty) and an own goal from Abou Diaby for Man United and a goal from Andrey Arshavin for Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger was sent to the stands during that match for kicking a water bottle, he was also subject to some nasty chants from the Man United fans. Ahead of that game Sir Alex Ferguson has called for the Man United fans not to sing those songs and I have to agree with him, they aren’t on.
Arsenal are without Arsenal who is out with a torn hamsting, which was picked up during the 1-1 draw with Aston Villa midweek. The Gunners may also be without Thomas Vermaelen who also picked up an injury against Villa.
The London side are definitely without Diaby, Kieran Gibbs, Fran Merida, Johan Djourou, Robin Van Persie and of course Eduardo.
Man United are without Rio Ferdinand who will serve the first of his four-match ban for violent conduct. United still have Owen Hargreaves and John O’Shea out injured but Nemanja Vidic should return to the starting line-up after recovering from injury.
United should be full of confidence after beating Manchester City on Wednesday, to reach the Carling Cup final. Arsenal hasn’t won a Premier League title since 2004 but they do have a great chance this year, a win for United may dent it a bit but it won’t be over. It’s the same the other way round aswell, a win for Arsenal won’t put United out of the title race but winning games against the teams around you always comes in handy.
Tomorrow’s game will be tight but on all accounts Arsenal weren’t that great against Villa. We haven’t been at our best but I think we may just be hitting some form and may just edge it.
Predicted Man United starting XI- Edwin Van Der Sar, Wes Brown, Jonny Evans, Nemanja Vidic, Patrice Evra, Antonio Valencia, Paul Scholes, Darren Fletcher, Luis Nani, Ryan Giggs and Wayne Rooney.
Predicted fulltime result- Arsenal 1-2 Man United
