Last night Man United defender Rio Ferdinand was down in London at the premiere of the film he helped to fund. Another one of the men to fund this film was Chelsea's Ashley Cole who was also there.
Cole’s and Ferdinand's new gangster movie Dead Man Running features rapper 50 Cent, Brenda Blethyn, Ashley Walters and Danny Dyer. They were also at the premiere.
Man United fan Tinchy Stryder was also at the premiere.
Ferdinand gave financial backing to the £2million film on the condition 12 youngsters from his Live The Dream Foundation were employed as runners.
Ferdinand: “There are kids out there of all different races, creeds and backgrounds who are looking for a break, and that's what my foundation's about.”
“I felt if I could do something positive and give young people a chance to get on the ladder, that was what I wanted to do.”
“Three have been told they will be involved in the next film because of their hard work and tenacity.”
Ferdinand will now turn his attentions to beating Liverpool at Anfield this Sunday.
