A Magnus Eikrem first half free-kick and two late second half goals from Febian Brandy and Zoran Tosic gave Man United a fairly comfortable win over Blackburn Rovers.
United took the lead 18 minutes in thanks to a stunning 20-yard free-kick taken by Norwegian midfielder Eikrem.
With only eight minutes remaining, Brandy headed in Tosic’ corner to give United a 2-0 lead. During the first minute of stoppage time, Tosic deservedly bagged himself a goal after scoring from a 25-yard strike.
Man United should have scored more than one goal during the first half but Joshua King and Sam Hewson were unable to convert their chances.
Man United had most of the possession throughout the game and the only Man United player who didn’t really have much to do was goalkeeper Ben Amos.
Gabriel Obertan impressed during his first game for United the other day and like that game, he impressed again yesterday. Tosic was another Man United player to impress the fans, will they be in the Man United team to face Liverpool this Sunday?
United starting XI- Amos, R Brown, Dudgeon, De Laet, Gill, James, Obertan, Hewson, King, Eikrem and Tosic.
Substitutes- Zieler, Stewart, C.Evans, Brandy and Norwood.
